The technology of 3D printing has been around for a few decades now, but many people are still unaware of its great applications. According to the Oxford dictionary, 3D printing is “the action or process of making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model, typically by laying down many thin layers of a material in succession.” This is an additive process of manufacturing where physical objects are created from digital designs.

A subreddit called 3Dprinting shares some of the most interesting, unique, and elaborate works created by the method of 3D printing. This community has 817k members and they share their own works to educate and inspire people about 3D printing. Their main goal is “to maintain a place where people of all skill levels can learn about 3D printing. This community likes to maintain a good mix of discussion, articles, and images.
