This Dad Turned His Son’s Head-Shaping Gear Into Star Wars Helmets To Wear After Surgery
One geeky dad wanted to make his son’s recovery from craniosynostosis surgery more fun, so he made the tyke Star Wars themed helmets. Craniosynostosis happens when fibrous sutures in the skull prematurely turn into bone, leading to disfigurements during further growth. The helmet shapes the head after surgery.
These pictures were posted by Reddit user mikesweeney. “My buddy’s kid had craniosynostosis surgery,” he wrote on his post on Imgur. “His dad designed helmets for a year. Today is the last day of helmets. Happy birthday, Jack!”
