Here’s a fun fact you probably didn’t know – NASA has been creating posters for every space expedition they had since the year 2000. And while they started out pretty tame with just the portraits of the crew, eventually they turned into full-on movie inspired posters – and they’re just too awkwardly hilarious.

The posters are full of pop culture references and are inspired by famous books and movies, like The Hitchhiker’s Guide To Galaxy and Star Wars. Check them out in the gallery below!
