Movies and comic books love to show villains living in some sort of sinister-looking headquarters. After all, a skull-shaped volcano island or a Death Star sounds a lot more intimidating than a suburban McMansion or a single-bedroom flat in downtown Seattle. And even though you probably won’t find these types of villain lairs in real life, the Evil Buildings subreddit has some pretty close runner-ups.

The subreddit is entirely dedicated to the most sinister-looking buildings out there, and with over 900k members, it’s never short of new content.
