27-Year-Old Will Be The First Woman To Visit Every Country In The World
Cassandra De Pecol is a 27-year-old traveler from Connecticut who started traveling around the world in July 2015. Her goal is to visit all sovereign countries along her way and so far she has crossed 181 borders. That means Cassandra has 40 days to visit 15 remaining countries and, if successful, De Pecol will become the first documented female, youngest American, and the fastest traveler EVER to visit all 196 countries around the globe.
This amazing quest is called Expedition196 and Cassandra is traveling as an Ambassador for Peace on behalf of the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism to promote peace. The trip’s expenses are almost $200,000, but everything is paid by various sponsors. If you want to track her progress or send some happy vibes, visit Cassandra’s Instagram account!
