These Photos Of An Adorable Newborn Piglet Are The Cutest Thing You’ll See Today (14 Pics)

Published 4 years ago

Cashlie White is an Oklahoma-based photographer and mother of two who specializes in wedding, family, and maternity photoshoots. Taking pictures newborns and babies is nothing new to this photographer, however, she recently decided to photograph a different type of newborn – a tiny baby piglet named Dynamite – and her photos quickly went viral.

In a recent interview with Bored Panda, Cashlie said that she was contacted by her friend Connie Hamilton who owns Dynamite and its whole family, the Hamilton Show Pigs. Connie had posted a picture of Dynamite on her Facebook earlier and wanted to do a whole newborn session for the baby pig. “It was just a fun thing to do. I’d seen photos of puppies like that, but never a pig!” explained the photographer. “I’ve loved and been around agriculture my whole life, so being able to put my love for animals and my passion and skill for photography together just made sense.”

It turned out that photographing a baby piglet was no different than photographing a human baby. Dynamite got a bath beforehand and was rocked to sleep in the photographer’s arms. Cashlie used a space heater to keep the room warm and comfortable for the sleeping piglet.

Cashlie says that shooting the piglet was easier than some of the babies she had. “She was only 2 weeks old, so that helped with her being comfortable sleeping,” said the photographer. “We gave her a bath and then I swaddled and shooshed her like a baby. I had a small space heater to help keep her warm and she went to sleep in my arms.”

Even though this was the first time Cashlie photographing a newborn animal, but she said she’s already looking for more baby farm animals to take pictures of. “I hope that I’ll be able to continue doing these types of shoots because it’s obviously something the world needs more of and I’m hoping more people reach out to let me take photos of their animals!” said the photographer.

The photographer says that she never imagined her photos would go so viral. “God is so faithful and good. I think the world just needed some good in their newsfeeds and Dynamite was exactly that,” said Cashlie.

Cashlie says that Dynamite’s owner couldn’t stop smiling after she left and even got teary when the photos started going viral. “We’re both just so thankful that God has blessed us with this opportunity,” said the photographer.
