30 ‘Memes From Generation X’ That Describe Midlife Better Than Words

Published 9 months ago

Our childhood memories are often imprinted in our heads as defining experiences. Since so many of these experiences are quite similar to others of the same age group, reconnecting on that level gives a sense of satisfaction that only inclusivity can evoke.

The ‘Righteous Memes from Generation X’ Facebook group is a social media experiment aiming to tap into that sense of solidarity. They find and share the memes that capture the essence of Gen-X’ers -people roughly born from 1965 to 1980- through trends, shows and other historical events. Scroll below for a fresh new collection of pics found on their page that are bound to resonate if you’re at the midlife point.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.
