Yugoslavian Computer Magazine Caught Eyes Back In 80s By Featuring Half-Naked Women

Published 11 months ago

The 80s were a different time – flashy clothing, outrageous haircuts, and obsession with the future was all the rage. Naturally, that led to some interesting advertising choices – and even computer magazines weren’t spared.

Računari, translating to “computers” from Bosnian, was a Yugoslavian computer magazine in the 80s and early 90s. They needed something to catch the eye of the computer-savvy people of the time so they came up with a genius idea. They combined computer tech with beautiful women and had the covers looking more like Eastern Bloc Playboy’s rather than complicated tech magazines. Check out the covers for yourself in the gallery below!

Aušrys Uptas

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
