In hindsight, we realise that there’s a reason why Mom was considered a nag and a spoilsport whenever we tried to do something fun as kids. She was most likely saving our lives and preventing us from enduring unwanted pain and distress. While most of us grow out of that foolhardiness and develop a strong sense of survival, that skill seems to be reserved mostly for females, as per the aptly named subreddit, Why Women Live Longer. Unfortunately, men seem to be more prone to ignoring the probabilities of a situation escalating into dangerous territory, and they end up doing extremely hazardous things that may end up costing them their lives, as evidenced by the proof in the gallery below.
