These 15+ Before & After Photos Of Sharp-Dressed Men Show How Clothing Can Change Everything

Published 6 years ago

Even though we don’t want to admit that, but first impressions matter a lot, in fact, according to research, you only have a tenth of a second. Unfortunately, not everyone can invest in expensive new clothing just to make a good first impression, especially if you’re standing on the edge of poverty. So, this is where a non-profit organization called Sharp Dressed Man comes in.

Founded in 2011, this organization aims to help men to re-enter the workforce from prison or rehab. Founders of this organization, Christopher Schafer and his son Seth, came up with the idea after Schafer, being a custom tailor, wasn’t sure where to put high-end suits his clients were no longer in need of. Now, during the weekdays they collect donations from clients and locals and then on Wednesday’s men come in for a suit fitting, haircut, and a hot meal.

As someone who battled with addiction himself, Schafer understands how important it is to have a second chance. “I really think that the biggest thing, though, is a guy gets treated with respect. And some of these guys have not been. They have not treated themselves with respect, nor have been treated with respect,” he told PBS.
