Someone Noticed A “Mistake” On This Book Cover, And It’s Getting Funnier And Funnier The More People Analyze It

Published 6 years ago

Someone on tumblr recently came across a vintage book cover and their keen eye knew something was up. The cover of the book called “Deadly Welcome” at first glance is not unlike many books of the time but the detectives of tumblr quickly pointed out one detail – why is the woman so freakishly tall?

The author of this book cover, Robert E. McGinnis, is no newcomer when it comes to illustrating – he has created illustrations for more than 1,200 paperbacks and over 40 movie posters, including the famous Breakfast at Tiffany’s and several James Bond films.

Of course, no one was judging the artist – they simply tried to figure out what was up with the gigantic woman, and surely hilarity ensued. Check out the hilarious detectives at work in the gallery below!

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
