This animator decided to recreate the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer, replacing the 'modern' Sonic with something fans are more used to seeing.

When the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer was released a few weeks ago, fans did not respond too well. Many criticized Sonic's redesigned appearance, claiming it was too human-like, others called the new movie a cheap cash grab and some even said Jim Carrey was the only one giving the upcoming film some hope. Lucky for us, the creators of the movie took the negative backlash into consideration and announced that they will be changing Sonic's design. And while we wait for that to happen, one animator and Sonic fan decided to recreate the trailer himself, replacing the 'modern' Sonic with something fans are more used to seeing.
The animator, Artur Baranov, posted the updated trailer on his Youtube channel a month after the original trailer was released and his version quickly gained over three million views.
Fans really seem to love Artur's trailer, claiming this is what they were expecting from Paramount studios in the first place.
The movie is set to release less than a year from now, on the 14th of February, 2020. Let's just hope they manage to change the design until then and we're not stuck with creepy Human Sonic!
