When Modern Fashion Invades Classic Art (18 Pics)
Do you sometimes find classic paintings a bit out of date? So did Chris Rellas, who decided to bring them up to speed by spicing them up with modern fashion items.
While studying in Georgetown University, Chris started an Instagram account @copylab, where he uploads his comical creations, adding Channel earrings to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring or giving an iPhone to the woman in Cassat’s “Woman Sewing in the Garden.” And the most amazing part is he does it so well that you will find yourself wondering, what belongs in the original picture and what doesn’t.

Got wisdom to pour?
Hi, seeing how Chris Rellas modernizes classic paintings with fashion and gadgets is hilarious and really creative—it makes art feel so much more relatable. After spending time enjoying his work, I usually like to take a break and unwind, and that’s how I found royalstiger on a Spanish forum. I started playing slowly on Starburst, lost a few rounds at first, but then a welcome bonus for new players in Spain helped me land an unexpected win.
